JOB DESCRIPTION :
This opportunity is for a flexible, self-motivated, and independent individual. The successful team member will provide technical support in the remediation and sediment / risk assessment service lines on a variety of environmental investigation, remediation, and water resources projects located throughout the United States and, potentially, internationally. Typical responsibilities include a blend of field and office activities that include project management, subcontractor coordination and management, data collection (such as environmental investigation fieldwork planning and sample collection, monitoring well installation, aquifer testing, etc.) and assessing laboratory and field-derived datasets to derive conclusions and provide recommendations to project teams, clients, and regulators. Key to success will be communicating results succinctly through written reports, charts, and technical or schematic illustrations. Ability to effectively communicate with project team members and clients is critical to this role.
Typical responsibilities will include :
- Data analysis - assess environmental datasets to derive observations and conclusions.
- Technical writing and reporting – effectively write and verbally communicate key findings and strategies.
- Technical growth - expand skills by working on multiple projects with technical experts from a variety of disciplines.
- Coordination and Planning - schedule fieldwork; identify equipment & safety needs, required permits, and subcontractors.
- Fieldwork - collect environmental samples from various media (soil, groundwater, sediment, surface water, soil vapor) and manage subcontractors.
