Entry Writer
The Entry Writer is responsible for preparing and managing documentation related to U.S. Customs broker activities, ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and facilitating the efficient movement of goods across the U.S. border.
Documentation and Processing:
- Prepare and submit U.S. Customs Entries, In-Bonds, and related documentation, ensuring adherence to U.S. Customs Law.
- Process Warehouse Entries, Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) withdrawals, Importer Security Filings (ISF), and General Order (G.O.) shipments.
- Handle the creation and management of steel licenses and CBP Form 4455 for temporary exports.
- Ensure timely and accurate transmission of data to U.S. Customs through ACE and other required platforms.
Compliance:
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, including those from related agencies such as FDA, USDA, and other government agencies (OGA).
- Ensure all incoming documents are reviewed and compliant with U.S. Customs and OGA requirements.
- Stay informed of any changes in trade laws, tariffs, and government regulations that impact imports and exports.
Record Keeping:
- Maintain precise and detailed records of all U.S. Customs filings and shipment documentation, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Language: English (preferred).
- Experience: 3 years in U.S. Customs entry writing or brokerage activities (required).
- System Knowledge: Experience with U.S. Customs systems (ACE, ABI), IMMEX, or similar platforms (preferred).
