What we need
As an Associate Sales Support Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the customer onboarding process by providing technical expertise, guiding customers through the onboarding and integration process, and ensuring the successful adoption of our IIoT solutions. You will serve as a bridge between sales, engineering, and customer support, helping customers understand the technical aspects of our platform and how it integrates into their industrial automation environments.
You will quickly become knowledgeable in ei3 applications, API integrations, our industrial data collection and connectivity systems, and our end customer automation system workflows to help drive sales and support customers in implementing our technology. We are looking for a technically inclined, customer-focused professional who enjoys problem-solving, technical communication, and helping customers leverage cutting-edge IIoT solutions.
What you will do
- Provide Level 1 technical support by assisting customers with ei3 application setup, API integrations, system configurations, and data connectivity.
- Diagnose and resolve configuration and connectivity issues, ensuring seamless data exchange between industrial automation systems, cloud platforms, and IoT devices.
- Provide support to specification development for new feature requests and enterprise integration opportunities.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, FAQs, integration guides, and best practices, contributing to an internal knowledge base to enhance customer self-service.
- Conduct training sessions for customers and internal teams to ensure they maximize the value of our solutions.
- Support the sales and onboarding teams by providing technical expertise in pre-sales discussions, product demonstrations, and customer presentations.
- Identify upselling and expansion opportunities, collaborating with the sales team to recommend additional solutions based on customer needs.
- Become familiar with IIoT industry trends, industrial automation protocols (MQTT, OPC UA, Modbus), and API integration best practices.
- Participate in onboarding team meetings, providing feedback on customer pain points and product improvements.
Who you are
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
- Up to 3 years of experience in technical support, sales engineering, or a related role. Internship experience—particularly in IIoT, industrial automation, or API integration—is a plus. While at least one year of relevant experience is preferred, it is not required.Passionate about technology and industrial automation, with a strong technical foundation.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, Webhooks, OAuth, and industrial communication protocols is a plus of modern web applications, cloud-based IIoT solutions, and industrial automation concepts is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-driven and autonomous, demonstrating ownership and accountability in all tasks.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with an eagerness to learn.
