1st Shift Order Picker/Packer; 6am-2:30pm

Overview
We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Packers to join our team. As a Packer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that products are accurately packaged and prepared for shipment. This position requires a strong focus on quality control and efficiency, contributing to the overall success of our operations.Pull and prepare daily orders for UPS, FEDEX and truck shipments. Perform and assist in other various functions of the warehouse.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

· High School Graduate or equivalent work experience

· Organizational skills

· Intermediate shop math skills

· Problem solving skills

· Ability to interpret shipping documents

• Distribution background.
• Preparation of receiving documentation.
• Document control; electronic filing & networking capabilities
• Microsoft Word / Excel and Outlook.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

· Ability to work in a deadline driven and fast paced environment

· Regular attendance per work schedule and able to at times of high volume work overtime including Saturday work

· Lifting packages and objects from 5 to 50 lbs.

· Must be able to maintain a clean work station and assist dept. in cleaning functions

· Previous Warehouse material handling equipment or willingness to receive training

· Compliance of all warehouse safety rules and company policies

· Able to maintain confidentiality regarding shipments shipped and able to promptly distribute them to correct departments after processed

· Participate in all department and company meetings, safety meeting, or other group meetings as needed.

• Must be able to work in a professional manner with minimal supervision
• Experience 1 years-3 years

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Picker Duties

· Shipping Lead delegates assigned orders to pull and prepare for shipment

· Upon starting order input data entry or scan into ERP system to notate Work in Process

· Utilizes Warehouse material handling equipment and proper PPE to locate and pull product from warehouse shelving

· Pulls and verifies both components and finished goods per paperwork

Packer Duties

· Paperwork is transferred from Puller to Picker

· A Second verification of pulled contents is checked against to Bill of Materials

· If discrepancies are found communicates to Picker to correct

· Creates both card boxes and pallet shipments and kits order per paperwork

· Closing out paperwork in ERP System

· Product gets staged to proper location for shipping

· Assist in the various functions of the Warehouse Dept.

· End of day clean up of workstations for next shift

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· Sitting, Standing, and bending movements: Frequent standing with breaks according to work schedule, frequent bending movements

· Repetitive work with both hands on parts and computer usage

· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. at certain times

· Ability to operate a variety of warehouse material handling equipment including forklifts and manual pallet jack and maneuver product around to staging areas

· Good eyesight or prescription eyewear for accuracy in data entry

· Must have good hearing as to maintain safety around moving vehicles

COMPENSATION: $18.50 per hour DOE
