What are the responsibilities and job description for the Truck Washer position at Eichelberger Farms?
Primary Objective
The truck wash team is a critical point in our biosecurity process. They must ensure complete sanitation of all livestock trailers, feed trucks, wash bays, and other equipment to prevent disease transmission. The Truck Washer must adhere to company standard operating procedures and is expected to follow all safety protocols.
Responsibilities Include:
- Operate a high pressure power washing cleaning system
- Sanitize trailers top to bottom, inside and out in a timely and efficient manner
- Keep wash bay and dryer bay clean at all times
- Pull trailers in and out of wash bays and dryer chamber utilizing company tractor in safe manner to avoid damage to property and equipment
- Comply with company standard operating procedures and utilize personal protective equipment
- Inspects trailers after washing to ensure it meets company standards
- Inspects all high-pressure hose fittings periodically for cuts or wear and reports any need for replacement to Truck Wash Supervisor
- Wash winter panels (when necessary)
- Follow safety procedures when applying chemicals
- Performs other duties as assigned by management
Physical Job Requirements
- Perform repeated dynamic movements from below to above shoulder height
- Lift over between 5lb and up to 50lbs daily
- Ability to work independently and follow directions
- Must be able to kneel, squat, bend frequently for extended periods of time
