At Eichen Crutchlow Zaslow LLP, we are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support our partner in all stages of plaintiff personal injury litigation matters. This is a dynamic role that requires the ideal candidate to feel comfortable drafting pleadings, conducting research, client contact, case management, scheduling depositions, negotiating liens with physicians, preparing discovery, and handling a personal injury caseload from inception to settlement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
- Conducting research on complex litigation issues
- Assisting with case management, including organizing and electronically filing pleadings
- Scheduling calendars, coordinating with clients and witnesses, and managing court appearances
- Negotiating liens with physicians and healthcare providers
- Preparing discovery, including document requests and depositions
- Handling closing documents for settlements
- Scheduling legal proceedings, including trials and hearings
Qualifications:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Legal Assistant with 8 years of experience in litigation support. A Paralegal certification is a plus but not a requirement. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
