This is a full time hourly position responsible for meeting with families and planning and coordinating funeral or cremation services. This person will handle death certificate completion, slideshows, memorial folder creation, and other elements of services. This position will require working occasional evenings, nights, and weekends and also requires answering phones and gathering first call information.
This position is also responsible for all of the tasks and responsibilities associated with embalming and prepping of the body for services and burial. This includes dressing, casketing, and cosmetizing the deceased for viewing services.
This is a demanding role that will require a flexible schedule throughout the day and night. This position will be scheduled 40 hours a week, but will require occasional overtime and full flexibility when on-call. This position includes on-call rotation hours that includes evenings, nights, and weekends.
Job Requirements
- Must be fully licensed as a funeral director and embalmer in Texas.
- Prefer 3 or more years experience, but will accept resumes with less.
- Resident of Montgomery County, TX preferred
- Reliable transportation

- Ability to lift 75 lbs or more
