Eide Machinery Sales, Inc. is looking for an experienced Welder/Fabricator Level III to take on advanced welding and fabrication challenges. This senior-level role is ideal for professionals with extensive expertise in machinery fabrication, repair, and leadership capabilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Plan and execute complex fabrication projects by interpreting blueprints and determining production steps.
Perform both MIG and TIG welding on a variety of materials, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel, ensuring high-quality results.Train and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of skill development, knowledge sharing, and adherence to quality standards.
Develop custom solutions for machinery design and repair, leveraging advanced welding techniques and creative problem-solving.
Manage tasks and deadlines to ensure projects are completed on schedule while maintaining high standards.
Conduct detailed quality control inspections to ensure compliance with company and client standards.
Propose and implement improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and streamline processes.
Track and maintain material usage records to ensure efficient inventory control and support future ordering of necessary supplies.
Model and enforce adherence to safety protocols, leading by example and promoting a safe work environment for the entire team.
Identify area hazards and follow safety requirements to mitigate risks, leading safety initiatives and troubleshooting potential hazards.
Work with advanced measurements and shop math, including interpretation of technical drawings, schematics, and complex measurements to ensure the accuracy of all projects.
Apply strong mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot, repair, and optimize machinery and systems, demonstrating leadership in problem-solving and mechanical understanding.
Requirements
Minimum 7–10 years of professional welding and fabrication experience, with expertise in MIG, TIG, and other advanced welding techniques.
Comprehensive knowledge of shop tools and equipment; CNC experience is a plus but not required.
Proven ability to manage teams and lead projects effectively.
Capable of performing repetitive motions, lifting up to 70 lbs, and working in various positions (standing, kneeling, bending) for extended periods.
