What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Coordinator position at Eihab Human Services?
The ideal candidate will be customer service focused, have excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task while prioritizing their duties. The candidate will ensure the end-to-end running of HR operations and projects while assisting with tasks throughout all areas of the HR Department. This position requires at least one year of administrative assistant experience. This individual will be responsible for many administrative functions of the HR Department, as required. The salary is 46,350.00 per year.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the full recruitment/hiring process by reviewing resumes, sourcing candidates, assisting in shortlisting, and performing phone screening
- Interview potential applicants to assess their skills set, experience, and education
- Input new hire information into HRIS system
- Perform all references, verification of employment, and background checks on applicants
- Communicate with applicants regarding the position details, working conditions, benefits and duties and responsibilities of the role
- Ensure I-9 verification and compliance for all personnel (new hires and active employees)
- Perform new employee orientations, onboarding and updating records for new hires
- Create and maintain all agencys employees' files, employee relations (remediating during grievances) and ensure all required employees paperwork is received and maintained
- Maintain the Applicant Tracking Flow Log
- Process termination/resignations, promotions, demotions, status changes, transfers, salary changes, etc.
- Create and complete all PRAs, including but not limited to new hires, terminations/resignations, status changes, salary changes, promotions, demotions, and transfers
- Input Driver License in NJMVC system - CAIR
- Manage the administrative process for meetings, HR events, Job Fairs, and campaigns
- Responsible for sending out TBNT letters to applicants
- Make ID badges for all employees
- Provide employment letters upon their request
- Assist with all internal and external HR related inquiries or request
- Support other functions, and handle projects as assigned by Manager,
- Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices
Requirements and skills
- Proven experience as an HR Coordinator or relevant Human Resources/Administrative position
- Outstanding communication both when speaking and listening, while demonstrating the ability to effectively share the organizations profile to future candidates
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills
- Detailed oriented, to ensure the organizations compliance with labor laws/standards, and maintain employees records for grievances.
- Ability to perform background checks and review potential candidate qualifications
- Ability to handle employees data with the utmost confidentiality
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, and other related business and communication tools
- Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines in a timely manner
- Two-year College Degree is preferred and a minimum of 1-year administrative experience
