The Mastering department is a fundamental part of EIKONs growth and success, and we need dedicated, driven, and enthusiastic individuals to ensure that success continues. Youll be proactive and organised, and well ensure that youre provided with tools to deliver to EIKONs impeccably high standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Mastering and Technical QC of all variants of Digital Cinema Packages, including but not limited to:
- 2K/4K
- 2D/3D
- Subtitled
- Dubbed
- Atmos/DTS:X
- High Frame Rate
- Mastering DCPs to both INTEROP and SMPTE standards
- Validating DCPs and ensuring they comply with DCI specifications
- Transcoding mezzanine files for online use
- Technical QC of all mezzanine files
- Validating transcodes
- Audio editing, conforming and compliance checks
- Operating theatrical screening rooms and running client-attended QC sessions
- Using our bespoke in-house work order system and creating associated paperwork
- Liaising with and providing support for other operational departments within EIKON Group Limited
You will primarily report to the Director of Mastering Operations and Director of Mastering Production.
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
- Familiarity with non-linear editing systems, e.g. DVS Clipster, Colorfront Transkoder, etc.
- Familiarity with Pro Tools
- Knowledge of DCI specifications, SMPTE specifications, mastering and theatrical playback hardware
- Understanding of IMF and its applications
- Experience of file encoding and transcoding
- Experience of foreign-language versioning
- A solid understanding of broadcast and post-production techniques
- Technical QC experience
WORKING HOURS
3pm - 12am, Monday to Friday
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1-2 years experience within a similar role in the industry.
