As the business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Subtitler to join us at our state-of-the-art facility in Burbank, Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have professional experience in subtitling for Theatrical features, Broadcast or VOD. The work you do here will directly impact the viewer experience, whether it be for localization subtitles or captions for the hard of hearing, so were looking for someone with a great eye for detail, a focus on quality and a passion for language. Whether your background is in translation subtitling, captioning, template creation or technical QC, this is a rare and exciting opportunity to join an expanding in-house team.
Key Responsibilities
As a Subtitler, you will be responsible for the end-to-end file handling of subtitles in various languages. This will include preliminary error checks, full technical QC and final post-processing.

The Subtitling team works closely with other departments at EIKON and opportunities will arise to be involved in projects which go beyond the normal scope of subtitling. Main Duties
- Creating and handling subtitle language projects for Digital Cinema, Home Entertainment & VOD platforms
- Managing incoming subtitle files for localization and for the hard of hearing, from a variety of sources
- Conforming and importing files and scripts
- Reviewing subtitle files in various languages against video
- Quality control, editing and error reporting
- Checking updated video versions and tracking required changes
- Exporting proofs and final files for delivery internally and externally
- Problem solving language-related issues
- Identifying improvements to master projects and communicating suggested changes
- Liaising and collaborating with internal departments

Requirements
- At least 2 years professional experience in a similar role
- Excellent command of the English language
- Strong IT literacy
This is a full-time, in-house position, on-site in our Burbank office.

Salary : $53,800 - $68,100
