What are the responsibilities and job description for the Software Engineer, Robotics & Sensor Integration position at EIKON-X?
Eikon-X is working with exciting robotics Unicorn in Austin, TX. This client is scaling up aggressively in it's engineering organization & is focused on hiring Software Engineers & R&D Engineers with strong exposure in C and Python especially.
The below roles are full-time, direct hire opportunities located in Austin, TX. The client has a flexible, hybrid environment, but will need local candidates willing to go into the office a few times per week.
1) Software Engineer, Localization & Mapping
- Develop cloud mapping subsystem with a graph optimization at its core.
- Develop the Sensor Fusion Localization subsystem, which combines the measurements of multiple sensors (LiDAR, IMU, GNSS, etc.) to calculate rover position to centimeter precision and orientation to 0.1 deg precision.
- Support sister development and operation teams on issues related to localization.
- Requirements: C , Python, Robotics, EKF, Localization
2) R&D Engineer, Sensors & Integration
- Test the various sensor samples and device prototypes as well as designing the testing methodics from scratch.
- Develop the software prototypes for the new sensor integration into the existing AV systems.
- Requirements: C , embedded linux, ROS, lidar/sensor/GNSS
3) Software Engineer, Sensors Integration
- Design, develop, optimize and maintain low-latency, robust device drivers and software pipelines for Camera, LiDAR, Radar, IMU, GNSS, Microphones, and other autonomous vehicle sensors and actuators.
- Develop and optimize algorithms for timestamping, filtering and preprocessing sensor data to remove noise, false detections and artifacts before providing synchronized data to the perception and localization subsystems.
