The Purchasing Analyst will be responsible for analyzing inventory levels to ensure the proper amount of goods are always on hand to complete all customer orders in a timely and efficient manner. Regular monitoring inventory levels will be used to make the best possible purchasing decisions within the department. This role will require effective communication with outside vendors, as well as communication with other departments within Eilliens with the common goal of serving the customer in the best way possible. Communication with the production team to coordinate product arrivals and allocations, and the sales and warehouse teams will be key to this position. This position must also be a part of our food safety culture.

Essential Functions

  • Consistently monitoring inventories to ensure consistent inbound product flow within the warehouses.
  • Communicate to suppliers to ensure purchase order requested dates are being met.
  • Coordinate the flow of inbound freight by communicating with supplier partners and transportation partners to ensure products are being picked up on time and in a timely manner.
  • Communicate internally to production, warehouse, and sales teams product expected arrival time.
  • Update Nav with proper purchase order and backorder arrival dates.
  • Build and maintain supplier relationships to ensure Eilliens continues to receive the quality and customer service that is expected.
  • Coordinate new product development, including sample and New Item Form execution.
  • Coordinate and communicate the flow of seasonal goods from start to finish, including but not limited to organizing seasonal forecasts and ensuring all goods are sold within the corresponding season.
  • Track close dated and closeout goods to ensure minimal inventory loss.

  • Must have organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time
  • Ability to deconstruct difficult and complex situations and bring the right people together to find solutions

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time salaried position

Travel

Travel is necessary at times during key customer meetings, trade shows, and conferences.

Education, Skills, and Experience

  • Minimum of an Associate Degree in Business or a related field is desired, however, will consider relevant years of experience in lieu of education
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point is required

Work Environment

The work environment varies between the office, production plant, and warehouses. At times while in the plant you may be exposed to allergens, powered equipment, and loud noises.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee must be able to sit for the duration of the shift, lift up to 25 pounds daily, bend, twist, stand, and work on a computer daily.
