Job Summary
Einstein Tutoring is seeking a dedicated and experienced Orton-Gillingham Certified Tutor to join our team. This is a virtual position serving students in Massachusetts, providing specialized instruction for those who require structured literacy support. Candidates must have Orton-Gillingham certification to be considered.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in literacy education, a passion for helping students with diverse learning needs, and experience delivering individualized instruction. This role involves providing one-on-one or small-group tutoring, developing structured lesson plans, and fostering a positive and engaging virtual learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized, multisensory tutoring using the Orton-Gillingham approach for students struggling with reading, writing, and literacy skills.
- Develop and implement structured, research-based lesson plans tailored to students’ needs.
- Utilize various teaching strategies and technology to accommodate different learning styles.
- Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and adjust instruction as needed.
- Create a supportive and engaging virtual learning environment that builds confidence and academic success.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and educational professionals to align learning goals and strategies.
- Assist with curriculum development and suggest improvements based on student performance and feedback.
Qualifications
- Orton-Gillingham Certification (Required) – candidates without this will not be considered.
- Experience in structured literacy instruction and working with students with reading difficulties, dyslexia, or other learning challenges.
- Background in special education or literacy intervention is preferred.
- Strong lesson planning and curriculum development skills tailored to individual learning needs.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $65.00 per hour
Expected hours: 6 – 40 per week
