Overview:
Einstein Tutoring LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate In-Person Special Education Tutor to support middle school students with special needs in Concord, MA. This position requires availability Monday through Friday at 10 AM. The ideal candidate will have experience working with middle school students and a strong understanding of behavior management strategies, individualized instruction, and academic support. Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one academic support tailored to each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
- Assist students with Math and other core subjects, ensuring comprehension of lesson objectives.
- Implement effective behavior management techniques to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
- Prepare and adapt lesson plans and instructional materials to meet diverse learning needs.
- Monitor student progress and communicate updates to Einstein Tutoring staff and school personnel.
- Support students during transitions between activities to promote a structured routine.
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and other staff to support student success.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance special education skills and strategies.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with middle school students, preferably in a special education setting.
- Strong knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies for supporting students with disabilities.
- Familiarity with IEP processes and special education guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to effectively engage with students, parents, and staff.
- Proficiency in middle school Math concepts to support academic growth.
- Ability to create engaging, accessible lesson plans tailored to individual student needs.
- Solid understanding of childhood development and its application in educational settings.
- Effective classroom management skills to maintain a structured and supportive learning environment.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $60.00 per hour
