Einstein Tutoring is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Paraprofessional to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll support students with diverse learning needs by providing one-on-one academic and behavioral support in a personalized tutoring setting. This position plays a key role in helping students thrive both academically and socially through tailored instruction aligned with their IEP goals and overall development.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized academic support during tutoring sessions based on student-specific needs and goals
- Assist in implementing strategies from Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in coordination with teachers, schools, and families
- Support students in literacy, math, and other core subjects using engaging, accessible instructional methods
- Monitor student behavior and apply effective behavior management strategies
- Create a structured, positive, and inclusive tutoring environment, whether in-person or virtual
- Communicate regularly with families and Einstein Tutoring’s administrative team about student progress and challenges
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to remain up-to-date on best practices in special education
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of special education principles and diverse learning needs
- Experience supporting students with IEPs or in special education settings
- Familiarity with child development, especially in early childhood or K–12 education
- Proficiency in behavioral support techniques and creating accessible academic content
- Experience with literacy and math instruction for students with learning differences
- Patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic about helping students succeed
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $35.00 - $75.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 25 per week
