Responsibilities

- Support students in their daily activities, including academic tasks, social interactions, and personal care as needed.
- Collaborate with educators to develop and adapt curriculum materials that align with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to education.
- Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to teachers regarding individual student needs and achievements.
- Participate in lesson planning and curriculum development to enhance learning experiences for students.
- Provide support for students with developmental disabilities, ensuring their inclusion in classroom activities.
- Assist in managing classroom behavior by implementing strategies that promote positive interactions among students.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
- Familiarity with IEP processes and the ability to assist in their implementation.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, educators, and parents.
- Ability to plan lessons that accommodate various learning styles and needs.
- Experience or training in deaf education is a plus.
- A background in toddler care or early childhood education can be beneficial.
