Landscape Operations Manager
Salary Range: $25.00-$30.00/hourly
Summary:
The Landscape Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations of landscape maintenance and installation projects. This role ensures that all projects are completed efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. The manager will lead a team of supervisors, crew leaders, and field staff, coordinating resources and managing budgets to drive successful project outcomes.

1. Operations Management:
- Plan, schedule, and oversee daily landscape maintenance and installation activities.
- Ensure all projects comply with safety standards, company policies, and customer requirements.
- Allocate resources efficiently, including labor, equipment, and materials.
2. Team Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and manage supervisors, crew leaders, and field staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback.
- Promote a positive and productive work environment.
3. Project Management:
- Develop project timelines, budgets, and work plans.
- Monitor project progress and adjust resources as needed to meet deadlines.
- Perform site visits to ensure quality standards are met.
4. Client Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on project matters.
- Address client concerns promptly and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and present project proposals, estimates, and reports to clients.
5. Budget and Financial Management:
- Prepare budgets for projects and manage expenses to meet financial targets.
- Review job costs, profit margins, and implement cost control measures.
- Approve vendor invoices and manage inventory of materials and supplies.
6. Safety and Compliance:
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Conduct safety training and meetings for the team.
- Investigate and report accidents and implement corrective actions.
7. Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications/Requirements:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Landscape Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
· Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in landscape operations management or a related role.
· Certifications: Landscape Industry Certified (LIC) or similar credentials preferred.
· Skills:
· Strong leadership and team management skills.
· Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
· Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Effective communication and client management skills.
· Knowledge of horticulture, irrigation systems, and landscape design principles.
Work Environment:
- Majority of work is conducted outdoors, with exposure to various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
