We are seeking an Experienced Construction Materials Technician to join our team and support field and laboratory testing operations for construction projects. This role involves testing materials such as concrete, asphalt, soil, and aggregates to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform field and lab testing on construction materials, including concrete, asphalt, soil, and aggregates.
- Conduct nuclear gauge density testing for soil compaction.
- Collect, prepare, and transport material samples to the laboratory for further analysis.
- Accurately document test results and generate reports per project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and field personnel.
- Assist with troubleshooting construction material issues and recommend solutions.
- Operate and maintain testing equipment in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
✅ Required:
- 1 years of experience in construction materials testing.
- Ability to work independently in outdoor field conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret test results.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites.
✅ Preferred Certifications:
- ACI (American Concrete Institute) – Field & Lab Testing Technician
- Nuclear Density Gauge Certification
- IDOT (Illinois Department of Transportation) Certification
- ICC (International Code Council) or NICET Certification (Bonus)
