Direct Support Professional
Pompton Lakes, N.J.
We are currently looking for a DSP for a woman with developmental disabilities. She lives in her own home with her family, this Is not a group home setting. The ideal candidate would be patient and caring, yet stern.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Get Individual on/off the bus
- Get ready for the day
- Help prepare their Afternoon snack
- Assist with chores
- Supervise swimming
Interests include but are not limited to:
- Puzzles
- Work books
- Coloring
- Walking to the park
- Walking to Ice cream station
- Swimming
- Bingo games
- Music
Job Type: Part-Time
Pay Rate: Starting at $20.00 per hour.
Schedule: Approximately 10 hours a week.
- Monday-Friday 7:00-8:45 a.m.
- Requirements:
- You must be willing to have a drug screen and fingerprinting background check.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for transportation.
- Training will be provided
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities for at least a year is a requirement.
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
