This is a great opportunity for anyone working in or towards a degree in the health and human services field, special education, psychology, or RBT/ABA.
We have an opportunity for part time Direct Support Professional (DSP) positions. Looking for multiple individuals who are dependable, outgoing, sociable, and quick thinking to assist a 25-year-old non-verbal young man, living with his family, with daily activities on a 1:1 basis. The ideal candidates will work with him inside his home and engage and communicate with him using his Pro Lo Quo to Go.
We are seeking those exceptional individuals with the ability to assist in creating and implementing inspiring activities, incorporating motivational tasks, and following through on setting and meeting goals, along with providing companionship with positive interactions.
Activities include but are not limited to:
- Engaging with music
- Working with puzzles
- Assisting with ADL’s
- Meal prep and assistance
- Assisting in the restroom
This young man is looking forward to spending time with someone who offers opportunities to learn, building on new skills, and create trusting relationships with those he interacts with.
- The ideal candidate must have experience working with people with developmental disabilities, crisis management and experience in following a behavior plan.
- Workdays are Monday through Sunday. 12pm-8pm
- All candidates must be willing to have a drug screen, be fingerprinted, and clear a background check.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and a reliable vehicle for transportation.
- Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA Therapy) with an interest to learn more.
- Experience supporting people with complex needs is a must.
- Reliability and dependability are essential.
- Training will be provided.
Job Type: Part time
Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18-20 hours per week and can be Flexible hours Monday - Sunday.
