Purpose of the Position
The Project Manager for Horizon Environmental Services is responsible for overseeing industrial cleaning and vac truck service projects from initiation to completion. This role ensures projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with client expectations, company objectives, and regulatory requirements. The Project Manager serves as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams, maintaining strong relationships to drive repeat business and identify new opportunities.
Essential Position Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and oversee industrial cleaning and vac truck service projects from initiation to completion.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to client specifications.
- Collaborate with team members to allocate resources effectively and maintain quality standards.
- Monitor project progress and address challenges proactively.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met and issues are resolved promptly.
- Gather feedback from clients to continuously improve service delivery.
- Identify opportunities for new projects and services within the industrial cleaning and vac truck sector.
- Develop and deliver proposals, estimates, and presentations to prospective clients.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals with new and existing clients.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the company.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Promote a culture of safety among team members and clients.
Physical activities: Typing on a keyboard; reading and verifying data, often in small print; sitting for up to 8 hours per day; talking on phone; may require visits to job sites resulting in exposure to hazards typical of a construction site
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Occasional utilization of steel-toed boots, gloves, safety vests, hard hat at site visits.

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, environmental science, or a related field; equivalent experience considered. Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
Preferred Skill Set: Proven experience in project management, preferably within the industrial services or environmental sector. Strong sales and business development experience with the ability to build rapport with clients. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of industrial cleaning and vac truck services. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
