What are the responsibilities and job description for the Extrusion Operator position at EIS Wire & Cable, Inc.?
We are seeking experienced machine operators to join our team on 2nd and 3rd shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate extruders to apply insulation material to copper conductor or cable core
- Setup integral equipment pertinent to extruding wire and cable
- Read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions in English
- Complete paperwork and enter computer transactions
- Use test equipment accurately
- Maintain satisfactory attendance and performance record
Additional Responsibilities:
- Train in Lean methods and participate in team projects to reduce through-put time and increase productivity
- Evaluate work center issues about materials, machines, and workloads, and report current status to supervisors
- Perform quality checks
- Sweep and clean work area at the end of the shift, following all safety and housekeeping instructions and policies
Work Environment:
This position may involve some required overtime and is a full-time role requiring 40 hours per week, with set schedules for 2nd and 3rd shifts.
