Today, we operate a modern 125,000 sq. ft. facility based in Western Massachusetts, specializing in custom design and standard construction products.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow standard work instructions to make repeatable delivery schedules for material replenishment or removal every 2 hours.
- Complete paperwork and enter transactions into the computer system.
- Train in Lean methods and participate in team projects to reduce through-put time and increase productivity.
- Load/unload trucks, assist operators with pre-staging and machine set-ups, perform cycle count inventory, and replenish point of use storage locations daily.
- Evaluate work center issues with materials, machines, and workloads, and report current status to supervisors.
- Stack boxes on pallets and maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Follow all safety and housekeeping policies and understand the Kanban scheduling system.
Requirements
- Fork truck experience is required.
- Warehouse or material handling experience is necessary.
- Pass a color identification test.
- Able to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
- Must have good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Able to lift 50 lb. with assistance.
- The job requires standing and/or walking for long periods of time.
- Reliable attendance is essential.
Schedule and Benefits
- Full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
