Job Description
The Production Manager schedules, effectively delegates, and manages hourly employees to efficiently meet production requirements for multiple operations in a fast-paced work environment.
Essential Functions:
The Production Manager schedules, effectively delegates, and manages hourly employees to efficiently meet production requirements for multiple operations in a fast-paced work environment.
Essential Functions:
- Manage staff to ensure they are productive and working towards client satisfaction
- Making quick decisions and changing plans/schedules to meet customer requirements
- Understanding and involvement in 5S, Lean, Kaizen and other continuous improvement projects
- Demonstrate strong leadership and employee motivational skills
- Responsible for resolving HR issues, employee reviews and employee record keeping
- Have verbal and written communications with all levels of the organization
- Need ability to recognize opportunities and improve processes to increase efficiency
- Effective use of ERP for systems and reporting
- Proficient in MS Office
- Understanding of leader standard work
- Set, measure and analyze department KPIs
- Identify department inefficiencies and create action plans to address
- Effectively lead team meetings
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in management or a related field
- 3 years of manufacturing/production experience preferred
- Previous supervisor experience preferred
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Able to work in a team environment and fulfilling objectives with minimum direct supervision
