Job Overview
As a Lead Process Engineer, you will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. This role requires a hands-on approach to process development, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with company standards and customer requirements. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to implement new technologies, refine workflows, and support production enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop & Optimize Processes – Write and refine manufacturing processes to ensure operational efficiency.
- Research & Implement Technologies – Identify and introduce new tools and methodologies to improve production.
- Process Improvement – Continuously analyze and enhance workflows to optimize performance.
- Support Quoting & Feasibility – Evaluate job inquiries and provide accurate input for pricing assessments.
- Troubleshoot Production Issues – Assist manufacturing teams in diagnosing and resolving process-related challenges.
- Vendor & Equipment Coordination – Work with suppliers to procure necessary tooling and assess equipment needs.
- Facility Enhancements – Lead initiatives to improve production efficiency, safety, and operational capabilities.
- Ensure Compliance – Adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Considered: Associate degree with significant industry experience.
Skills & Competencies:
- Experience with manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling.
- Ability to interpret technical documents such as safety rules, operating manuals, and procedural guidelines.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Mathematical proficiency in algebra, geometry, and material calculations.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.
