What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant (MA) B Shift position at Eisenhower Center?
The Medical Assistant aids the Health Educator in providing for the medical needs of our residents. This may include passing medications, attending physician appointments, completing treatments, documenting health information, or other assigned tasks. The Medical Assistant may also act as a phlebotomist when trained appropriately. Responsible for ordering and managing medical supplies.
Medical Assistant Role and Responsibilities:
- Pass medications to residents as necessary
- Coordinate with the pharmacy during med cart change over to ensure all medications are accounted for.
- Attend physician appointments when scheduled.
- Inventory and manage all medical supplies.
- Manage bio-hazard collection and removal services.
- Complete appropriate medical documentation in a timely fashion for the medical record and billing purposes.
- Assist residents with medical procedures when necessary.
- Complete venipuncture orders and scheduled lab draws.
- Assist with new hire orientation by providing Covid testing and TB testing.
- Assist Health Educator with medical treatments when requested.
Medical Assistant Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Certification as Medical Assistant
Urgently filling B Shift Tuesday-Saturday
B Shift: 3:30 PM -12AM
