Position: Medical Assistant
Hourly: $18.35

The Medical Assistant aids the Health Educators (Nurses) in providing for the medical needs of our residents. This includes passing medications, attending and scheduling physician appointments, completing and documenting treatments and other health information, and any assigned administrative tasks. The Medical Assistant will also act as a phlebotomist and administer TB testing when trained appropriately. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for the ordering and managing of medical supplies for their assigned unit.
Medical Assistant Role And Responsibilities

Medical Assistant Role And Responsibilities
- Pass medications to residents.
- Coordinate with the pharmacy during med cart change over to ensure all medications are accounted for.
- Attend physician appointments when scheduled.
- Inventory and manage all medical supplies.
- Manage bio-hazard collection and removal services.
- Complete appropriate medical documentation in a timely fashion for the medical record and billing purposes.
- Assist residents with medical procedures when necessary.
- Complete venipuncture orders and scheduled lab draws.
- Assist with new hire orientation by providing Covid testing and TB testing.
- Assist Health Educator with medical treatments when requested.
- Certification as Medical Assistant
- Sunday - Thursday
- Tuesday - Saturday
