Job Description: Under the general supervision of the Director of Care Coordination & Support, this role is responsible for the management, planning, scheduling, and utilization management of Nursing and Medical Assistant staff. This role involves strategic planning, staff management, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency. The role will assist in deployment of process flows, collection of team performance metrics/KPI’s, and overall day-to-day managing of health care at the facility.

The role will assist in deployment of process flows, collection of team performance metrics/KPI’s, and overall day-to-day managing of health care at the facility.
Role and Responsibilities
- Interview, hire, and mentor nursing staff promoting professional growth and development
- Ensure new employees onboard properly and are trained in collaboration with Human Resources
- Ensure that staff have the proper materials, systems access, and training to complete job responsibilities
- Manage the quality of assigned staff's clinical work through regular review and evaluation of work product
- Partnering with the Director of Care Coordination & Support, this role will assist in identifying quality risks and issues, creating appropriate corrective action plans to prevent and correct deficiencies in the performance of staff
- Manage staff in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable regulations
- Ensure that staff are meeting defined workload and quality metrics through regular review and reporting of findings as outlined by leadership and established QA Matrix Scorecard
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure best practices and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care, addressing patient concerns and improving patient satisfaction
- Establish a regular audit of medication carts and medication administration
- Develop and execute a process on the scheduling of Physician rounds
- Maintain the REMs website and Clozaril labs
- Develop and implement a cart change over process
- May collaborate with clinical teams and other functional leadership to manage project related challenges and to achieve exemplary customer service
- Participates in corporate or organizational departmental quality or process improvement initiatives
- Participate in the Admissions Committee process, as well as Field Evaluations
- Develop and implement an effective and comprehensive On-Call process
- Be the liaison between internal and external healthcare providers
- Required: Minimum of 5 years nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Required: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team; proficiency in healthcare management software.
- Preferred: Current RN/LPN license in Michigan
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Nursing, Healthcare Administration
- Preferred: Medical billing & coding experience
- Ability to motivate and educate staff of a diverse background.
- Excellent and accurate calculator, and computer skills. Including the ability to use Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook.
- High level of Nursing ethics
- Working knowledge of commonly used medications and treatments
- Ability to work independently and follow through on tasks without direct supervision.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of patients’ medical records and adherence to all HIPAA policies and regulations.
