- Essential Responsibilities
- Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
- Hard floor care and maintenance, stripping, waxing
- Marble care, grinding and polishing
- Carpet care including vacuuming, extracting, bonnet, spot care and upholstery cleaning
- Performs surgical suite terminal cleans and maintains all completed documentation
- Handles all waste in accordance with hospital policies
- Maintains waste processing site, keeps area clean at all times
- Maintains Soiled holding rooms on each nursing unit in accordance to policies and procedures
- Bails all boxes from assigned areas
- Cleans all associated ancillary areas of assigned patient care unit.
- Responds to emergencies assigned by nursing, or through Environmental services Department.
- Maintains adequate supplies to complete shift
- Cleans equipment/cart and closet at end of shift; return all borrowed equipment
- Notifies EVS supervisor as rooms are ready for use
- Notifies EVS department secretary of any maintenance concerns
- Maintains assigned area in accordance to all departmental policies and procedures
