TITLE: Assistant Volleyball Coach
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, 60 hours college, previous coaching experience

REPORTS TO: Head Coach/Athletic Director
JOB GOAL: The Assistant Volleyball Coach will help run the Volleyball Program; properly preparing students to complete in interscholastic athletic activities and to help develop the student’s best character.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works with the head volleyball coach in overseeing and coordinating within the volleyball program at Manhattan High.
- Helps head coach in Selecting and determining who shall be participants, managers, and student assistants and their lettering criterion.
- Insures that each athlete turns in a physical examination form before being allowed to participate.
- Helps the head coach in the supervision of the team from the time school is dismissed until practice is concluded. At all meetings is responsible for the supervision of the team from arrival of members until participants have left school premises.
- Helps the head coach with the conduct and behavior of the players in the school building property, on the playing field, in the lockers, showers, and gym. Also responsible for care and use of physical plant facilities during use. Prescribed rules of conduct apply to all road games.
- Practices should be held on a regular basis during season with the following exceptions: (a) game or meet days: (b) any vacation practices which violate KSHSAA rules; and (c) Sunday practices.
- Attends KSHSAA Rules Meeting and adheres to rules and regulations of KSHSAA.
- Reports in writing all injuries to the activities director.
- Helps the head coach in recommending the ordering of new equipment and supplies to the activities director and for the cleaning, checking of inventory, storing, securing, and repairing of all equipment.
- Abides by the general policy rules and regulations of USD 383.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a part-time position from August 15th through October 1st. This position is not eligible for benefits.
FSLA STATUS: Non-Exempt
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of classified personnel.
