Branch Associate

JOB SUMMARY:

Support shipping and warehouse activities to meet Branch goals and operational procedures

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Deliver merchandise to local customers in a timely manner using company vehicle

Take customer orders over the phone and send order confirmations

Pull and prepare product for shipment ensuring that quantities and items match sales orders

Use a forklift to retrieve pallets from staging area and transfer the load to delivery trucks

Fulfill orders to meet customer requirements and shipment deadlines

Ensure all incoming product meets the company's quality standards and match purchase order

Participate in cycle counts and physical inventory reconciliation

Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies

Place and rotate stock, handle will-call pickups and branch transfers

Maintain efficient, accurate and orderly warehouse

Maintain safe working environment consistent with the company's standards

Support Branch metrics

Additional duties as assigned

Education, Experience and Skills:

· Excellent customer service abilities

· High School Diploma or the equivalent experience

· Must have a valid driver's license in order to make customer deliveries in company van/truck ---- CDL not required

· Ability to achieve a forklift certification

· Computer literate, detail oriented and able to work independently

Must be able to effectively communicate with management and co-workers

Flooring industry experience a plus
