Angio/Cath Lab Tech

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cardiac catheterization and a thorough understanding of medical terminology related to cardiology. This role is critical in providing high-quality patient care during diagnostic and interventional procedures in the catheterization lab.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain equipment for cardiac catheterization procedures, ensuring all tools are sterile and functioning properly.
• Assist physicians during procedures by providing necessary instruments and monitoring patient vitals.
• Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.
• Document all relevant patient information accurately in accordance with medical protocols.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
• Maintain knowledge of telemetry monitoring and respond appropriately to changes in patient status.
• Stay updated on advancements in cardiology practices, including anatomy and physiology knowledge relevant to the role.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Cath Lab Technologist or equivalent experience in a clinical setting.
• Proficiency in cardiac catheterization techniques and familiarity with Level I and Level II Trauma Centers is preferred.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology related to cardiology.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques and telemetry monitoring practices.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Attention to detail with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Pay: $64.30 - $76.00 per hour
