Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Circulating R.N. specializing in Orthopedics to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing orthopedic procedures. You will work closely with surgeons and other medical staff to ensure the safety and comfort of patients throughout their surgical experience.
Duties
- Collaborate with the surgical team to prepare for and assist in orthopedic surgeries.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition before, during, and after procedures.
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Provide care for patients with specific needs, including those requiring ostomy care, tube feeding, or dementia care.
- Assist in coding procedures using ICD-10 standards for accurate medical record keeping.
- Conduct spinal taps when necessary and manage any related patient care.
- Ensure a sterile environment is maintained in the operating room at all times.
- Educate patients and their families about post-operative care and recovery processes.
- Maintain clear communication with all members of the healthcare team to facilitate optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (R.N.) license in good standing.
- Previous experience in an orthopedic setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in administering injections and managing vital signs.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices is a plus.
- Experience with pediatric patients is advantageous.
- Familiarity with coding procedures, specifically ICD-10, is desirable.
- Ability to perform ostomy care and tube feeding as needed.
- Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail are essential for this role.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Pay: $52.00 - $61.00 per hour
