Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Prepare and process cytological specimens for examination.
- Conduct microscopic evaluations of samples to identify abnormal cells.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure specimen integrity.
- Perform assays and PCR as required for diagnostic purposes.
- Collaborate with pathologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings.
- Maintain accurate records of laboratory procedures and results.
- Adhere to safety protocols and quality control measures in the laboratory environment.
- Participate in blood sampling and blood banking processes as needed.
Experience
- A degree in Cytotechnology or a related field is required.
- Certification as a Cytotechnologist (CT) is preferred.
- Proven experience in a laboratory setting, particularly in hospital environments.
- Familiarity with blood sampling techniques and blood banking practices is a plus.
- Strong understanding of physiology knowledge and laboratory procedures.
- Experience with flow cytometry and other relevant laboratory technologies is advantageous.
