Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse - Dialysis to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Administer dialysis treatments to patients in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
- Monitor patients during treatment, assessing vital signs and responding to any complications or emergencies.
- Educate patients and their families about dialysis procedures, dietary restrictions, and self-care techniques.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record systems such as Epic.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans for patients.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety within the clinic or hospital setting.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Experience in a clinic or hospital setting, particularly in dialysis or renal care.
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems, specifically Epic.
- Ability to work effectively with children, including experience in infant care when necessary.
- Competence in acute pain management techniques for patients undergoing dialysis treatment.
- Familiarity with durable medical equipment (DME) related to dialysis processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate patients effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing patient care documentation.
