Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients, ensuring their safety and comfort while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Duties
- Assess and monitor patients' conditions, including vital signs and symptoms.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide acute pain management and support for patients experiencing complex medical issues.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families on health management, medication administration, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with ICD-10 coding standards.
- Participate in urgent care situations as needed, demonstrating quick decision-making skills.
- Support memory care initiatives for patients with cognitive impairments.
- Engage in home community care for patients transitioning from hospital to home settings.
- Provide compassionate hospice palliative medicine for end-of-life care when necessary.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Previous experience in an ICU or critical care setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of geriatrics and experience with elderly patient populations is a plus.
- Strong understanding of medication administration protocols and safety practices.
- Ability to pass background checks and comply with facility policies regarding patient care.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient education.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism.
