Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Emergency Room. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Room setting.
- Conduct thorough assessments and triage incoming patients based on the severity of their conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and respond promptly to changes in their condition.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including coding for billing purposes.
- Participate in sterile processing of medical instruments and equipment.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care.
- Support infection control measures, particularly in infectious disease care situations.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Experience or training in emergency medicine is preferred.
- Strong skills in triage, critical thinking, and decision-making.
- Ability to lift patients and assist with mobility as needed.
- Knowledge of occupational health principles is a plus.
- Familiarity with primary care practices and management of various ailments.
- Competence in coding for medical records is desirable.
- Commitment to maintaining a sterile environment and following infection control protocols.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
