Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations and vital signs monitoring.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on diagnostic evaluations and patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Utilize Cerner for accurate documentation of patient information and care provided.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Assist in coding for patient records as necessary, ensuring compliance with hospital standards.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatment plans.
- Perform phlebotomy procedures as required for diagnostic testing.
- Stay informed about workers' compensation law as it pertains to patient care in the hospital setting.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Previous experience in an ICU or ER setting preferred.
- Strong skills in patient assessment, diagnostic evaluation, and critical thinking.
- Proficient in using electronic health records systems, particularly Cerner.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
- Knowledge of coding practices related to nursing documentation is a plus.
