Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, exceptional critical thinking skills, and the ability to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. As an RN in the ICU, you will be responsible for monitoring and managing patients with severe and life-threatening conditions, ensuring their safety and comfort while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Duties
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting.
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and perform IV infusions as needed.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent infections during procedures.
- Assess patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options, procedures, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with hospital policies.
- Participate in family planning discussions when appropriate, addressing concerns and providing support.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in urgent care, geriatrics, ophthalmology, toddler care, neonatal ventilator management, primary care, and hospital medicine.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Previous experience in an ICU or critical care setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of urgent care practices and hospital medicine.
- Proficient in aseptic techniques and IV infusion protocols.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics and neonates is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Ability to handle high-stress situations calmly and efficiently while maintaining patient dignity.
- Commitment to providing compassionate care that respects the needs of patients and their families.
Pay: $60.23 - $64.00 per hour
