Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will have experience in a teaching hospital setting and possess strong clinical skills, including airway management, IV infusion, and acute pain management.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patient health status, documenting changes and communicating with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Perform procedures such as cardiac catheterization and catheterisation, as well as ostomy care.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in both clinic and medical office settings to develop comprehensive care plans.
- Manage acute pain through appropriate interventions and support for patients undergoing various treatments.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care delivery.
Experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience in a teaching hospital or similar clinical environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in airway management techniques and IV infusion administration.
- Familiarity with cardiac catheterization procedures is advantageous.
- Previous experience in acute care settings or medical offices is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
