Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician to join our clinical laboratory team. Duties
- Conduct laboratory tests and analyses on biological specimens, including blood, urine, and tissue samples.
- Perform phlebotomy procedures to collect blood samples from patients.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during sample collection and processing.
- Execute DNA isolation and PCR techniques for genetic testing.
- Carry out ELISA assays for various diagnostic purposes.
- Analyze test results using data analysis skills to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Monitor vital signs when necessary during sample collection or testing procedures.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper calibration and functionality.
- Adhere to safety protocols and quality control measures in the laboratory environment.
- Document all findings accurately in accordance with laboratory standards.
Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field.
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) is preferred.
- Proficiency in laboratory procedures, including CT imaging techniques when applicable.
- Strong data analysis skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of clinical laboratory standards and regulations.
- Familiarity with various laboratory techniques such as DNA isolation, PCR, ELISA, and vital signs monitoring.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals and provide accurate test results.
