Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse for our Medical/Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients undergoing various medical treatments. This role requires strong clinical skills, the ability to work collaboratively with a healthcare team, and a commitment to patient education and support.
Duties
- Assess and monitor patients’ health status, including vital signs and symptoms.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV insertion and tube feeding.
- Provide care for patients in various settings, including hospital and ambulatory surgery centers.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health management, treatment options, and post-operative care.
- Document patient progress accurately using ICD-10 coding standards.
- Assist with esthetic laser treatments as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures.
Experience
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Previous experience in a medical office or hospital setting preferred.
- Familiarity with toddler care is a plus for pediatric cases.
- Skills in lifting patients safely and effectively are essential.
- Experience in an ambulatory surgery center is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a high level of patient care.
