Duties
- Supervise daily operations of the radiology department, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality imaging services.
- Manage and mentor radiology staff, providing training and support to enhance their skills and performance.
- Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and service delivery.
- Monitor equipment performance, coordinate maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of procedures, patient data, and departmental performance metrics.
- Stay updated on advancements in radiology technology and practices to enhance departmental services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) is required.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a healthcare setting, preferably in radiology.
- Strong knowledge of imaging modalities such as MRI, CT, X-ray, and ultrasound.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, patients, and other healthcare professionals.
