Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring adherence to established standards and protocols. Duties
- Assess and monitor patients' conditions, including vital signs and symptoms, to provide appropriate interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Perform advanced nursing procedures such as airway management, gastric lavage, and other critical care interventions.
- Educate patients and their families on health management, recovery processes, and health coaching techniques.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with hospital policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care standards within the ICU setting.
Skills
- Proficiency in acute care nursing practices with a strong understanding of ICU protocols.
- Experience in emergency room (ER) settings is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of mammography procedures is a plus for patient education purposes.
- Familiarity with Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments for comprehensive patient evaluations.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing multiple critical tasks simultaneously.
