Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Assess and monitor patients' health status, including vital signs and symptoms.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Perform triage assessments to prioritize patient needs effectively.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatment options.
- Maintain sterile processing techniques to prevent infections during procedures.
- Assist with emergency medicine situations as they arise, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Document patient care accurately in electronic health records.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the medical/surgical unit.
Experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Previous experience in a medical/surgical setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with coding practices related to patient care documentation is a plus.
- Experience in occupational health or primary care settings is beneficial.
- Knowledge of infectious disease care protocols is advantageous.
- Ability to lift patients safely and assist with mobility as needed.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective collaboration with the healthcare team.
