Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Operating Room team. Duties
- Prepare patients for surgery by conducting thorough assessments, including vital signs and medical history.
- Assist in the operating room by providing direct patient care during surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile environment.
- Monitor patients' conditions before, during, and after surgery, managing acute pain effectively.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to implement and evaluate patient care plans.
- Document all nursing interventions and patient responses accurately in medical records.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding post-operative care and recovery processes.
- Participate in case management activities to ensure continuity of care throughout the patient's hospital stay.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in occupational health, geriatrics, and travel nursing.
Experience
Candidates should have:
- A valid Registered Nurse license with experience in an inpatient setting, preferably within an operating room environment.
- Proficiency in patient assessment techniques and vital signs monitoring.
- Familiarity with acute pain management strategies and protocols.
- Experience in medical office settings is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of case management principles is advantageous for effective patient advocacy.
