Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment, with a focus on both acute and chronic conditions. This role is essential in delivering nursing services that promote health, prevent illness, and manage patient care effectively.
Duties
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess patient health status.
- Provide care for patients requiring dialysis and manage aliment-related issues.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a Teaching Hospital setting to develop comprehensive care plans.
- Offer hospice palliative medicine support to patients and families during critical times.
- Educate patients and their families on health management, treatment options, and medication administration.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Cerner or similar electronic health record systems.
- Support primary care initiatives and assist with workers' compensation law compliance as needed.
- Engage with pediatric patients, utilizing specialized skills to cater to their unique healthcare needs.
Skills
- Proficient in medication administration and patient monitoring.
- Strong diagnostic evaluation skills to identify patient needs effectively.
- Experience in hospice palliative medicine is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly Cerner.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team in a Teaching Hospital environment.
- Excellent communication skills for teaching patients and families about health management.
- Knowledge of workers' compensation law is a plus.
- Experience working with children is highly desirable.
