We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team. Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and triage based on urgency of care required.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations.
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond appropriately to urgent situations.
- Provide acute pain management and support for patients with complex medical needs.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and nursing staff to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Educate patients and families on treatment options, medication administration, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient information in compliance with ICD-10 coding standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety within the department.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Previous experience in an emergency room or urgent care setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of geriatrics, memory care, hospice palliative medicine, and home community care is advantageous.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Familiarity with operating room (OR) protocols is a plus.
