Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations of patients' health status.
- Perform triage duties to prioritize patient care based on urgency and severity of conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including cardiac catheterization and botulinum toxin treatment.
- Provide critical care to patients in need of immediate medical attention.
- Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures to ensure patient safety and prevent infection.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for long-term care patients.
- Educate patients and their families on health management, disease prevention, and treatment options.
- Document all patient interactions accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Stay informed about workers' compensation law as it pertains to patient care and treatment options.
Experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice is required.
- Previous experience in critical care or long-term care settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with durable medical equipment (DME) and its application in patient care is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and best practices in nursing care is essential.
- Experience with cardiac catheterization procedures is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective patient interaction and documentation.
