Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' sexual health needs and concerns.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments.
- Provide education on sexual health topics, including safe practices, prevention of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and reproductive health.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Perform laboratory tests and interpret results relevant to sexual health.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients with complex needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Stay informed about current trends and best practices in sexual health nursing.
Experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Experience or training in areas such as emergency medicine, sonography, ICD-10 coding, pain management, laboratory procedures, working with people with disabilities, airway management, infectious disease care, basic life support (BLS), and medication administration is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
