Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Charge Nurse to join our healthcare team. The Charge Nurse will play a pivotal role in overseeing patient care, ensuring the highest standards of nursing practice, and leading a team of nursing staff in a fast-paced clinical environment. This position requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing staff activities to ensure optimal patient care.
• Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and implement appropriate interventions.
• Administer medications and monitor patients for adverse reactions or side effects.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Provide guidance and support to nursing staff in critical care transport situations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and safety.
• Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and sterile processing protocols during procedures.
• Assist in the training and mentoring of new nursing staff members.
• Address patient and family concerns with compassion and professionalism.

Experience

• Previous experience in a clinical setting, preferably within a Level I Trauma Center or similar environment.
• Proficiency in coding and medical records management is highly desirable.
• Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus.
• Familiarity with critical care transport processes is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of medication administration protocols and practices.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to lead effectively under pressure.
